Water Eject is a utility application that helps users play specific sound waves, vibration patterns, bass tones, and audio tests that may assist with removing water, dust, sand, or similar particles from phone speakers, earpieces, or other sound output areas. The App may also include speaker testing, tone testing, and decibel measurement features.

The App does not collect, process, store, or use face data. The App does not use facial recognition, biometric identification, camera-based scanning, or facial analysis.

When we refer to personal data or personal information, we mean any information of any kind relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to such data.

Our Privacy Policy applies to all users and others who access the App (“Users”).

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller, unless otherwise stated.

If you do not want us to share device identifiers, analytics data, advertising identifiers, or similar technical information with service providers, please check your device settings to opt out as described below.

REQUESTS

When submitting a verifiable request, you should be ready to:

If you are making a request through an authorized agent, the agent must provide a written authorization or power of attorney signed by you.

We ensure that personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request will be used only to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request and not for any other purpose.

We aim to respond within forty-five (45) days of receiving a verifiable consumer request. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

Please note that we are only required to respond to two requests per customer per year, where permitted by applicable law.

EQUAL RIGHTS

Nothing in the way we handle your request shall be interpreted as discrimination.

This means that we will not impose different pricing or product access restrictions based solely on your privacy choices. However, in some circumstances, we may not be able to provide certain services if you choose to delete or restrict information that is necessary for the App to function.

SALE OF DATA

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

II. INFORMATION WE PROCESS

There are several categories of information that may be processed.

Functional Information

We process certain information when you use the App. This information may be necessary for the adequate performance of the App, to provide requested features, to validate purchases, to improve functionality, or to respond to your requests.

What data can be processed:

App Usage Information: Information about how you interact with the App, such as which features you use, session duration, selected sound modes, tone types, speaker test usage, and general App activity.

Audio Feature Information: The App may process your selected sound or test preferences, including Water Eject mode, Dust Eject mode, Speaker Check settings, Tone waveform selections, frequency selections, volume-related settings, and DB Meter usage. This information is used to operate the App’s utility features and improve the App experience.

Microphone-Related Information: If you use the DB Meter feature, the App may request microphone access to estimate or measure sound levels. Microphone access is used only to provide decibel measurement functionality. Unless clearly stated otherwise, we do not record, store, or share raw audio recordings from your microphone.

Contact Information: Name, email address, and any other content included in the email, which you may provide when contacting us via email or support form. This information is used to respond effectively to your inquiries, fulfill your requests, provide customer support, and send you communications that you request.

Subscription and Purchase Status: We may process limited information related to your subscription status, in-app purchase entitlement, trial status, renewal status, transaction identifiers, and premium access. We do not receive or store your full credit card, debit card, or payment account details.

Important Notice About Face Data

The App does not collect, use, disclose, share, or retain any face data or related information.

We do not request camera access for face scanning.

We do not collect facial photos.

We do not use facial recognition.

We do not create biometric templates, faceprints, or facial recognition profiles.

We do not use face data for identity verification.

We do not use face data for authentication.

We do not use face data for advertising.

We do not sell face data.

We do not share face data with third parties because the App does not collect face data.

Camera, Photo Library, and Health Data

The core features of Water Eject do not require camera access.

The core features of Water Eject do not require photo library access.

The core features of Water Eject do not require access to Apple Health, HealthKit, fitness data, heart rate data, blood pressure data, biometric health data, or similar health information.

If any future feature requests camera, photo library, or health data access, we will provide a clear explanation and request permission where required.

Information That Is Processed Automatically

When you use the App, some information about your device and user behavior may be processed automatically. This information may be non-personal or may be associated with your device or usage depending on the tools used.

We process this information based on our legitimate interest in improving our App, maintaining security, detecting technical issues, analyzing performance, preventing fraud, validating subscriptions, and providing users with the best possible experience.

We may use third-party automatic data processing technologies to analyze certain information sent by your device through our App, including analytics, crash reporting, attribution, advertising, and subscription management tools.

Some of these technologies may engage in automated processing of personal data, including profiling, which means evaluating certain personal aspects relating to you, such as preferences, interests, behavior, approximate location, or movements.

Processing through these technologies may start automatically when you first launch the App, depending on your device settings, App Tracking Transparency choices, consent choices, and applicable law.

Payment Information

Our e-commerce provider, Apple, is responsible for billing, processing, and charging for in-app purchases made through the App Store.

Apple handles your personal payment information securely, and we do not have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, banking information, or App Store payment credentials.

III. THE PURPOSES OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Our mission is to provide users with a simple and useful sound-based utility experience while respecting user privacy. We may use your information for the following purposes:

(a) To make our service available.

We use functional information and information that is processed automatically to provide the App’s requested features.

(b) To provide Water Eject functionality.

We may process your selected settings, frequency preferences, mode selection, and usage activity to play sound waves, including frequencies between approximately 80 Hz and 160 Hz, that may help remove water from phone speakers or earpieces.

(c) To provide Dust Eject functionality.

We may process your selected settings and usage activity to play rhythmic bass sounds that may help loosen or remove dust, sand, or similar particles from speaker areas.

(d) To provide Speaker Check functionality.

We may process your selected speaker test preferences to test speakers, earpieces, and other sound outputs individually or together.

(e) To provide Tone functionality.

We may process your selected waveform preferences, including sine, saw, square, and triangle tones, to help users test speaker or earpiece sound quality.

(f) To provide DB Meter functionality.

If you grant microphone access, we may use the microphone to estimate or measure sound levels for the DB Meter feature. Unless clearly stated otherwise, we do not record, store, or share raw microphone audio.

(g) To improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of our App.

We use automatically processed information to better understand user behavior and trends, detect potential outages and technical issues, and operate, protect, improve, and optimize our App.

(h) To provide subscriptions and in-app purchases.

We may process purchase status and entitlement information to unlock premium features, validate subscriptions, prevent fraud, and manage access.

(i) To provide interest-based advertising or other targeted content, where applicable and permitted.

We may use automatically processed information for marketing purposes, subject to your device settings, consent choices, and applicable laws.

(j) To communicate with you.

We use contact information to respond to your messages, provide support, receive feedback, and inform you about important changes to our policies or services.

(k) To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse and to enforce the law.

We may use your information to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, security breaches, or potentially prohibited or illegal activities, protect our rights, and enforce our Terms of Use.

If any new purposes for processing your personal data arise, we will notify you before we start processing information for that other purpose by introducing the corresponding changes to this Privacy Policy, where required by law.

IV. SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

We do not collect, use, disclose, share, or retain any face data or related information.

We do not rent or sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the App. These service providers may include cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, subscription management providers, attribution providers, advertising providers, customer support providers, and security providers.

We may share information from tools such as cookies, log files, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, subscription tools, and analytics events with third-party organizations that provide automatic data processing technologies for the App.

Microphone and Audio Data Sharing

If you use the DB Meter feature, the App may access your microphone to estimate sound levels. Unless clearly stated otherwise, we do not record, store, sell, or share raw microphone audio.

Microphone access is used only to provide the DB Meter feature.

Generated or measured DB Meter values may be processed as app usage or technical data to improve the feature, troubleshoot performance, or provide functionality.

We may disclose your personal information under the following circumstances:

When we believe, in good faith, that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, ensure user safety, investigate fraud, or respond to government requests.

VIII. HOW TO OPT OUT

Opt-out of Marketing Tracking

If you do not want third-party service providers to personalize ads based on your interests, follow the instructions below:

iOS: Settings \> Privacy & Security \> Tracking \> Allow Apps to Request to Track \> Off, or manage tracking permission for the App individually.

iOS Advertising Identifier: Settings \> Privacy & Security \> Apple Advertising \> Personalized Ads \> Off, where available.

Android: Settings \> Google \> Ads \> Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization, depending on your Android version.

Please note that even if you opt out of interest-based advertising, you may still receive contextual ads based on other non-personal information.

Opt-out of Microphone Access

If you do not want the App to access your microphone, you can disable microphone permission in your device settings.

iOS: Settings \> Privacy & Security \> Microphone \> Water Eject \> Off.

Android: Settings \> Apps \> Water Eject \> Permissions \> Microphone \> Deny.

If you disable microphone access, the DB Meter feature may not function properly.

Opt-out of Notifications

If you do not want to receive App notifications, reminders, updates, or related notices, you can disable notifications in your device settings.

iOS: Settings \> Notifications \> Water Eject \> Allow Notifications \> Off.

Android: Settings \> Apps \> Water Eject \> Notifications \> Off.

Opt-out of Location Data Processing

The main features of Water Eject do not require precise location data. If any future feature requests location access, you may deny or disable it in your device settings.

iOS: Settings \> Privacy & Security \> Location Services \> Water Eject \> Never.

Android: Settings \> Apps \> Water Eject \> Permissions \> Location \> Deny.

IX. SECURITY

The security of your personal information is highly important to us.

We follow generally accepted industry standards and use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data both during transmission and once received.

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect personal information from:

X. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our App is not intended for users under the age of 13\.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13\.

We do not collect face data from any users, including children.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from someone under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will delete such information as soon as reasonably possible.

If you are under the required age in your country or region, please do not use the App or submit any personal information through the App without parental or guardian consent.

XI. UTILITY AND DEVICE FUNCTION DISCLAIMER

Water Eject is a utility application that provides sound, frequency, vibration, speaker testing, tone testing, and DB Meter features.

The App does not guarantee that water, dust, sand, or any other substance will be fully removed from your device.

The App does not repair physical damage, liquid damage, corrosion, hardware failure, blocked components, or speaker defects.

The App is not a professional repair, cleaning, diagnostic, or technical inspection service.

DB Meter results may be approximate and may vary depending on device model, microphone quality, device case, distance from sound source, environmental noise, calibration differences, hardware condition, and operating system limitations.

For serious water exposure, dust exposure, sand exposure, distorted sound, abnormal speaker behavior, reduced audio quality, or suspected device damage, you should contact the device manufacturer, authorized service provider, or qualified repair professional.
